Dr. Harpreet Bhalla

Harpreet Bhalla MD has been caring for patients in the Charlotte, NC area for more than 20 years. Initially as part of the Sanger Clinic (2000 – 2005) and subsequently as a general, imaging and interventional cardiologist with Caromont Heart (2005 -2021). During his tenure at Caromont Heart he held leadership positions serving as Chair of the Cardiovascular service Line (2010 – 2011) and Medical Director of the inpatient and outpatient Echocardiography laboratories.

Early on Dr. Bhalla knew he wanted to spend his life caring for others and after graduating from high school he was accepted into an accelerated seven year combined BS/MD program at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York and New York University School of Medicine. He graduated with honors from New York University Medical School in 1991. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Presbyterian Hospital In New York City, Columbia University Medical Center.
Subsequently he completed fellowships in Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio and in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.
While in practice he has continued to pursue academic interests and has sought advanced training in echocardiography and valvular heart disease.

His extensive training and experience allows him to successfully care for patients with a broad range of cardiovascular disease. He appreciates that each and every patient is unique and that effective compassionate care requires a thoughtful personalized approach with an emphasis on prevention and lifestyle modification. At PURE Cardiology, he plans on successfully partnering with each patient utilizing an unhurried, holistic approach. Treatment goals include optimization of each patient’s cardiovascular fitness and medical regimen which invariably leads to a reduction in prescription medications, cardiac testing, and invasive procedures. The end result being what we all want and deserve a longer happier healthier life.
